Video and DVD Loan Policy

The Stone Ridge Library has a wide selection of video cassettes ranging from nature and travel films to modern and classic movies, many suitable for children. Videos and DVDs may be borrowed for seven days with no charge. There is a two item limit for each card. Videos may be renewed one time, by phone or in person on or before the date they are due. Due to the demand for DVDs they can not be renewed. If not returned or renewed on time, each video or DVD is subject to a $1 fine for each day it is late. Additional videos may not be borrowed until all fines on overdue videos are paid. If the library is closed, videos may be placed in either one of the drop boxes near the enterance. Videos must be returned by closing time on the date due, in order to avoid fines.

Internet Policy

The library has three computers with high speed internet access for research, browsing and e-mail. One of them is hooked up directly to the work-force development web-site.

1. Sign in at the Circulation Desk. Time Limit: 30 minutes, if someone is waiting, or 60 minutes total per day.
2. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
3. Printing costs: $0.20 per page

THE FOLLOWING MAY NOT BE ACCESSED:

1. Chat rooms
2. Messengers: ie Yahoo Messenger, AOL Messenger, Instant Messenger, etc.
3. Downloading onto the Hard Drive or a Floppy. The computers are strictly for viewing and printing only.
4. Adult or X-rated images or websites.
5. Games of any kind. The computers are for research, browsing and e-mail only.
