These are held at 6:30pm on the fourth Tuesday of the month in the Library Reference Room and are open to the public. Upcoming dates:

The Stone Ridge Public Library is a special district library located on Route 209 in Stone Ridge. Located in a historic stone building, the library has been in existence since 1909. In 2000, the Library became a special district library, supported by the tax payers of Marbletown. The Library is administered by a nine person Board of Trustees, elected by Marbletown residents.
The Library is a member of the Mid-Hudson Library System. Through this system, patrons have access to materials in 65 libraries in the surrounding area.
Our Library collection consists of approximately 29,000 items. These include books, periodicals, audios, videos and DVD's. Six public access computers are available for patron use. All computers have high speed internet access. Remote access to data bases is available through your library card bar-code, as well as access to the card catalog and interlibrary loan services.
Children's services include after-school story hours, participation in the state wide summer reading program, and special programming throughout the year. Adult programming is set to be expanded this year. Genealogy help is available, from volunteers, by request.
The Library is a workforce development site, where you can search for a job or get information on changing careers.
The Library has a volunteer group for seniors which meets every Monday from 10am to noon. Additional volunteer hours are available during the week for patrons of all ages.
Our annual Libary Fair is a town tradition, and is held on the second Saturday in June every year. Our volunteers work year round to make the Fair a special day for everyone.
We hope you will visit the Library soon, either in person or by exploring our web site. Each day brings new things to the Library and we are eager to show them to you.

The Town of Rochester will once again be contracting with the Stone Ridge Library in 2011 to provide 250 paid family memberships to its Rochester residents. Additionally, the Library is providing free memberships to all Rondout Valley Students for 2011.
Rochester patrons can renew their memberships in person beginning January 3rd, 2011 at 1:30 pm. They are given out on a first come, first served basis. Due to demand for Stone Ridge Library memberships we cannot automatically renew 2010 membership cards. We need to give each Rochester patron a chance to utilize the subsidized memberships.
Please be sure to come in as early in January as possible to access a free membership. Last year they went fast! Please bring your Library Card with you.
Non-subsidized family memberships are available at $50. per year. The rate schedule below shows the cost of a family membership for the balance of 2011 depending on which month it begins.
Rochester residents should also be aware that they can obtain library cards at no charge from the Ellenville Library for use in the Ramapo Catskill Library System.
If you have questions please feel free to email Stone Ridge Library Director Jody Ford.

The temporary stabilization of the building has been completed. The large timbers outside will be in place for the next few years, while we raise funds and make plans for the final restoration. Our sincere thanks go to all those who have helped with the building through donations to the Library and to the Stone Ridge Library Foundation. more
