When is the Fair?

The Fair is always on the second Saturday in June. This year that is June 11th. The Fair will be held from 10am till 3pm. This year we're having a Pancake Breakfast and Bag Sale on Sunday, June 12th from 9am till 12noon as well.

When should we come to volunteer?

Set-up will take place on Thursday and all day Friday. We particularly need volunteers with strong backs that can come on Thursday afternoon, and Friday morning and afternoon to help us haul books. A number of volunteers also come in late afternoon on Friday to set up other booths.

Do I need to check in on Fair Day?

Yes. Please stop at the Foundation booth at the front of the parking lot to get a volunteer badge and sign in. Barbara Cazakoff – our long time volunteer coordinator will have a sign up sheet waiting. The Fair runs from 10 – 3. Please give us an idea of how long you will be able to stay.

I’m baking for the Fair – when can I drop off baked goods?

Anytime Friday or Saturday – but it is much easier to get in the driveway on Friday!

What can I do to help BEFORE Fair Day?

Before the Fair we need help moving books, making signs, sorting toys, setting up tables and chairs, putting up fences, pricing and sorting gift items.

What can I do to help ON Fair Day?

On Fair day we need help moving books, taking money at the booths, cooking at the grills, selling beverages, selling gifts at Eleanor’s Emporium, selling 50/50 raffle tickets and helping at the local author and book tents. After three the clean-up crew is the most appreciated group on the grounds!! If you have a preference in where you would like to work please let us know.

SUPPLIES?

All Fair supplies (cups, plates, scissors, tape, markers, etc.) are located in the kitchen/YA room of the Library. The back door will be open all day on Fair day.

Snacks and drinks are also located here for all volunteers.
