The reading of all good books is like a conversation with the finest men of past centuries. [Descartes]

100 New Books

Our library has just received a gift of 100 new children's picture books, ranging from pre-kindergarten through early readers. They were donated by the Brownstone Book Fund, a private foundation in NYC that fosters early reading, a love of books, and encourages parents and children to read together.
"We are excited to have these new books in our collection, and hope that people will come in and explore and enjoy them," said Children's Librarian Julianna Arms. "Thanks to the Brownstone Book Fund for this lovely donation."

Find your creative voice and be inspired through reading, writing and sharing individual creative short stories, poems, and spoken word poetry. Children will experience creative writing that is fun, engaging and collaborative. The children who participated in the first session can attest to how inspiring and fun the workshop was, as evidenced by the end-of-session book of their wonderful work.
